Stereo replacement
Hello again. 2006 E350 here. My question is am I am to swap my stereo for the same unit from another of the same car? Are these stereos plug and play? Is there any special requirements needed from the dealer? Or what may be my best option to replace my stereo without completely rewiring my car? Thanks so much in advance.

I replaced the Audio 50 head unit in my 2003 E500 with a W211 Euro Comand purchased from eBay. Installation was complete plug and play with no coding required. Remove the old unit, plug in the new connectors, tighten down the fasteners and that's it.

No, it was a used unit. A Euro Comand is an OEM Mercedes head unit intended for use in Europe with DVD video in motion capabilities as well as navigation functions. My stock stereo only had a cassette player and no Navi. The other good thing is the new unit also has an auxiliary jack that allows me to connect my iPod to the system. I got mine for way less than what the one in the eBay link below is going for.
