AMG Speed Cluster

I have a 2003 E320, would like to install a AMG speedometer cluster. My car has only 53,000 miles, the speedo I want to buy has 113,000. Will the car automatically install my miles, or will it read the mileage on the speedo. Thanks

From what I've heard and read, those miles will not automatically adapt to your current car's miles. I was also about to get one, the numbers were off by 35k and after some digging, I let that thing go. It's not that big of a deal for the individual but when you go for repair/smogs, it's going to cause you some kind of issues in the system with that much of a difference and also, when the shop person puts that mileage in the system, your insurer gets those #s via the shop, your insurance will go up. I say not worth it unless it's minimal difference.

You will not get millage information due to the conflict and it can sadly not be corrected even with DAS. (I've heard rumors of some Chinese apparatus to change millage but that is illegal in most of the world.)
You can however transplant the faces of the clusters (If same speedo limit??) but... all this to get an AMG logo?

Actually, some W219 which have a similar platform to W211 come with the 160mph speedo, and they work just fine on W211s. I work on them!
