Unhappy W211 HEADREST REMOVAL

I need to remove both front headrest of my MB E500 2003. They have an electric motor the raise and lowers them. I remove the rear seat cover but can not find the way to remove them. Can you guide me in removing the headrest?

You're almost there. It's been a while since I took the headrests off my front seats to install seat covers, but I seem to remember the headrest posts being snapped into pieces of plastic that are the business end of the electric motors. Look and see where the posts end up and you'll see how the headrests come out.
Maybe Konigstiger will be along shortly with the proper pdf.

Edit: Just checked AllData; move the seat all the way forward, tip the seat back, and pull out the headrest. Install is reverse of removal, just make sure the posts go in the plastic seats.

From what I remember doing mine, recline the front seats as far back as possible, raise the headrests via the switch as high as they go, position yourself in the rear seat behind the headrest and give it a good yank. That's how I got mine off.

Is there any more detail instruction? or you just open the back cover from the seat and give it a good yank as I read?
