Sirius Problem/ Radio Question

I have read so many Threads on the Sirius radio problem. "Not subscribed". Mine was working, then stuck on one channel, then called Sirius, then nothing. No one at Sirius wants to help. Does anyone have any good information/solutions? My next question is there a radio out there that fits and plugs into the car without cutting any wires? With GPS, Sirius, Backup camera, SD card? I don't want to have to modify anything, or very little.
I also called Mercedes Benz in my area about the issue. They want to hook the computer up and take a look. What are they looking for Version of the command unit? How does the DIYer hook up to the car/ radio to take a look?
My car is a 2007 E320 bluetec sedan.
Thank you for any help.

They're basically plug and play. Do a search here and the W211 AMG section and you'll find some threads about these stereos. Maybe shoot jumph4x a PM. He installed one in his E55 not that long ago.

Also **** Sirius. They're spamming *******s when you don't want their product.

I had the same thing happen to me a little while ago and did some digging on it, apparently there's an issue with some radios losing their subscription information during free preview periods. My radio lost it's subscription and was stuck on the last channel I had it on the first time I started the car after the Thanksgiving free preview started. I called Sirius and went through the automated prompts to send a refresh signal, but found that the automatic refresh does not work properly in this situation. You have to hang up after the refresh has been sent and call back. The system will then connect you to a live agent who will be able to help you. The agent I spoke with had me turn the radio on and off a couple of times while he reset it.

The same thing happened at the end of the free preview, but the automated refresh cleared it up that time.

There was an update pushed out right after Christmas to update the channel list with the Christmas channels reverting back to regular programming, this could have caused your problem.

Sirius customer service sucks. No one has a clue. Everyone tells me they have not heard of any problems. Or putting older Mercedes radios in a protected tier. The only thing one person offered me was a free radio that they are giving out to anyone. One person wants me to take the car to the dealer to do a Hard Reset on the radio. I have read about a soft reset, pulling the fuses. MBUSA told me to hold the power button down for like 5 sec to reset the radio. What is a hard reset?
Thanks

Must be different call centers for the US and Canada, I'm in Canada and the first person I spoke to was able to get my radio working again. Or maybe I just got lucky.

Have you tried sending a refresh signal yourself from the web site? https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefr...#/refreshradio

The car has to be running and the radio in Sirius mode for the refresh signal to work, and it can take up to 15 minutes. I was also told by the agent I spoke to to do a factory reset on the radio, which unfortunately blows out your presets and any custom equalizer settings.
