Recall for E-Class W211 and SL R230 because of SBC problems
Hello,
it was all over the German news: Mercedes is recalling all E-Class models as of March 2002 production and SL as of October 2001 production because of potential SBC brake problems ( I don't know exactly what the problem is). The total number of cars affected is about 680.000 worldwide. Taxis in Germany have already been checked and, according to Mercedes, about 2 out of every 1000 cars have the problem they are looking for. It is most likely to appear on high mileage cars with frequent braking, such as taxis. Just thought you might like to know.
