HEATING & A/C CONTROLS

I HAVE A 2003 E320 WITH A/C CONTROLS NON DIGITAL, CAN I SWAP OUT AND INSTALL NEW TYPE CONTROLS THAT HAVE DIGITAL READINGS

You can, but the digital version is for 4 zone system, rear controls won't work and you won't be able to adjust passenger directional setting on the right dial, but rest will work fine.

Picture of what you have?
My 2008 climatronic had originally LCD display, but no REST button, while I wanted to read sensor values on it.
So $40 bought me 4-zones climatronic on ebay and it was plug&play.
Deep car scan shows the climatronic not-matched version, but that is not something to worry about.
Sensor reading works.
