2011 E 350 POPPED OUT OF PARK INTO REVERSE!
HELP! Has anyone else ever had this happen? I have a 2011 E 350 Wagon which I purchased used with 26,000 miles. On Oct. 29, 2015, when I turned my ignition on, the Tailgate popped open; I put the car in Park, opened the door, walked around to the back of the car, pushed the button to close the tailgate, and took a step back to watch it close, wondering why it had opened in the first place. When the tailgate latched closed, the car popped out of Park into Reverse, drove into me, pinned me against the building and crushed my Left Leg.
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR INCIDENT?? Where your car popped out of Park into either Drive or Reverse?

Could it have anything to do with your gear shift lever breaking off some time back? I'm thinking yes...
