tick tick noise from the engine bay
car info: 2006 w211 E350 japan spec in Dubai with 77k km (48k miles)
recent changes/problems: I made a switch from 95 octane fuel to 91 during the last fill-up due to gas price.
radiator tank has a leak and I keep getting the check coolant level error message every week, i add water since i have no time to visit a shop and get it fixed.... busy dayss... i will try to fix it this weekend
problem: I noticed a small tick tick noise when the car was running 2 days ago i didn't really cared. Today all of a sudden it is really audible and no need to mention, its irritating and annoying along with the sbc humming...
the sound cant be heard when making right turns, decelerating or braking to take exits from the highway, and on highways with speed above 90kmph. the speed of the tick-tick sound increases with the car's speed. heres the
at idle and running at city traffic.
what is the cause and fix!? pls help

Have you driven a Ford lately?
Ok, maybe not lately but that used to be how you could tell a Ford truck was coming down the road: many of them had cracked exhaust manifolds and sounded exactly like your car. Cast iron doesn't like quick temperature changes. Can't really fight physics.
So: Have you dumped cold water on a hot manifold? It's possible that the torque pressure from the exhaust pipe and engine flexing on the engine mounts during a right turn causes the crack to close up a bit, thusly silencing it.

i had a broken radiator cap.. replaced it now! the water splashed in small amounts into the engine bay...
so what is the fix!? sounds expensive!?
btw the day i took the video, sound was that loud.... as of now its quieter but still there..... sound disappears in the highway and for 1 - 2 minutes (even if idle) after getting out of the highway

Heat (getting on the gas) will expand the manifold enough to close the crack. I'm guessing that the stresses caused by motor mounts and exhaust pipes flexing during turns, acceleration and braking can cause the same effect. But don't take my word for it. A decent mechanic will easily be able to confirm or deny my diagnosis.
