C1478 replaced speed sensor, code came back

C1478 replaced speed sensor, code came back
Ok, so I had a rough start with this car, but I think most of the hard work is done now!

I had a C1478 for the left rear speed sensor. I took the sensor out and it was rather corroded. tried cleaning it with no luck, so I ordered a new one

after replacing the speed sensor and clearing the codes, the code came right back! not sure what else could cause this?
