2003 E500 CD Changer Disconnection
I purchased a 2003 E500 last week (Love it so far). The driver power seat was disconnected when I bought it (when I took it out for a test drive it was not working), but all other electronics were, so I figured it must be something minor and didn't really care. When I got home, I went through and realize that the power seat wasn't working because the wires weren't connected underneath. I figured that's an easy fix, connected them and voila! the seat worked and everything was great. I now have a battery drain issue and after going through the threads on here, realize that this may be why they were disconnected. There is also a CD stuck in the dash and I can only put 1 extra CD in, the other slots won't load.
So, my question (Sorry for the long windedness):
Is there a way to disconnect the CD player while still having power to the radio? I an RF/bluetooth receiver for my phone so will not use it anyways, but definitely want to keep the radio. I feel like the CD player may be part of the battery drain..thoughts?
Thanks for any help!
Mike
Reverse attached CDC instructions, replace changer with storage part # 2116830091 about $20.
