Red Battery Warning Light - Fixed!
Was wondering why the red battery warning light came on last winter and persisted until yesterday. I used a multi-meter to check both auxiliary battery and main battery and they registered 9.9 and 12.5 volts respectively. Since the car's main battery is charging to 14.5 v when running, I figured there is no problem with the alternator. I disconnected both batteries starting with the auxiliary battery and left them disconnected overnight. Then I put them back on in the morning. Problem was gone after I reset the instrument cluster to factory settings.
