2008 Mercedes E350 electric problems
Hello guys, i need some help. I have a 2008 mercedes E350. Recently in my car radio system, from back i switched the ipod connection to aux connection. After couple days my car started giving me problems. The problems i get is that while i am driving, the AC unit turns on and off repeatedly every 5-15 seconds. Same with the radio system, It turns on and off. other problems i get is that the indicator signs stop working, and car is unable to catch my remote signal. Also during evening when the lights are on auto mode. only the right light stays on. and interior lights starts blinking randomly. My mechanic couldn't point to the problem. He says it might be the problem of gateway control module, but he is not sure. During night my car starts the light and hence the battery dies. If you guys had any of these problems, or know about it, please help to fix it. Thank you

Did he test the battery and the alternator? You always get weird problems with a bad battery/charging system. Or it could be the audio gateway. Those can be expensive, but they can also be sent out to be rebuilt which is cheaper than a new one. Get a scanner that can read MB specific codes and see what they are.

Swapping to the AUX connector is not related to the issues you're having. Like cetialpha5 said, test the batteries, weird **** can happen when they start going bad on these cars.

The battery and alternator are both new. Both Ac and radio are turning on and of repeatedly. So there is no way the audio gateway could be a problem. I read somewhere that the central gateway module is a brain of other modules. So do you think central gateway module has fault.
