Car cranks but won't start - 2007 Mercedez-Benz E350
Car will crank but wont start. If it starts it runs great as long as you dont turn engine off. When it gets hot it needs same hrs before if will start again

Get it to a Star type code diagnostic reader so you don't wast money. Call close by indie shops and find one that has a reader for Mercedes. My guess though is its the crankshaft position. sensor.

This is the classic Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) problem. Don't waste your time going to a shop to diagnose. If you work hard, and have patience, it is a DIY job. Did you test with a simple OBDII reader? You do not need STAR, you can buy a OBDII reader in Walmart for $20. I believe the code is p0335 for CPS failure. Feel free to PM if you have questions.
