Creative E55?
Yesterday on the 133 Toll Road (here in Southern California) I saw a very creative black E55 (w211). The owner had creatively replaced the wheels and tires with normal MB wheels and tires, taken off all the E55 body panels, put a stock exhaust on, and removed the V8 Kompressor badging. Looked like a normal E320 except for the E55 and AMG badging on the trunk. Sleeper car? Or a flaming idiot? Probably the same owner of the C240 AMG that's in Mission Viejo. Oh well. Life goes on.

Cars in Hong Kong
I have! Never seen so many Rolls in one spot! Even more than in a good sized Rolls dealership. And Mercedes seemed to flow like VWs at a "hippy" convention! But it was the fact that most every person on the street was talking on a cell phone, smoking and eating at the same time that was truly amazing. Loved Hong Kong and can't wait to go back!

Have to wonder if the driver of that "stealth E55" commissioned Harry the Dental Floss Guy to lift the "E55" and "AMG" badges off a real E55 somewhere else in town. Doubt that you can get the badges over the counter at your friendly M-B parts department. The presence of the E55 badges, but nothing else, is the opposite of true stealth and is the mark of a poseur. When BMW last produced the M5, they had an option to delete the M5 badges (only) from the car - that was true stealth, since only those in the know would recognize the M5 grille and exhaust treatments.
