A coupe can NOT have 4 doors. Is that what the German translation says on jes.de?
JamE55:
The S-Class coupe is called the CL.

2008 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, 2001 Acura 3.2 CL
I guess I can see the doors drawn, but it's really hard to see. So it'll be more like the Sturn coupe with the third door? hmm... seems a little bit wierd that they are making this. I've read in some places that this was just a rumor and couln't be true. IMO it doesn't look like a big hit. The third and fourth door that is only accessable with the front doors open doesn't seem too usful for me, and not stylish at all. I guess only time will tell.

You asked for it! The coupe version to the G-Class is the Mercedes U500 Unimog. Must be a coupe only 2 doors!:

Check out the sliding vario-pilot. You can drive on the right or the left. What will they think of next?

I guess a coupe with four doors (two opening rearward, two forward) is a nice idea, but that reminds me too much of the Saturn coupe. Saturn is a company which I really detest.

E class, S class, Toyota Supra twin turbo, Mazda Miata, Toyota Land Cruiser
This seems like a "fake" '04
This blue E-coupe is supposed to be the '04 model? Can't be the W211, it is clearly the current W210 model. Seems like a little computer art-work. The yellow side view above it may be more like it.

The G class has a coupe and cabriolet version. Fortunately only the 4 door version is available in the US.
By the way, I love those Unimogs. They are awesome!

Sliding vario steering a great idea
That sliding vario steering for the unimog is a great idea and one more practical than might first appear - especially for off road construction sites. When I was at the Barrick Gold Mine in Nevada all of their huge ore extracting loaders had the steering on the right side as a safety feature for circling down into the open pit mine with vertical drops immediately to the side of the driver. (By the way those rigs were so huge they could have held several unimog's in their beds. The tires alone were taller than most houses.)
