Lower Control Arm Bushing

Hi,

I have a 2009 Mercedes E350 4matic and my driver's side front forward lower control arm bushing is leaking fluid and needs to be replaced. I have been quoted $1000 for replacement. Can anyone tell me how to replace this myself and give me a guide?

Thank you

Thank you Onyxthecat. I forgot to say this is the front control arm. I did find the front control arm procedure in the same link.

I have the bushings only for sale if you’re interested. New complete arms are $500/side. I think I paid $230 for the bushing kit and will sell for $160 shipped for both sides together. Brand new Genuine MB in box.

just need old ones pressed out and new ones in.

also that quote from the shop is for bushings only. Can’t be new complete arms because there are NO aftermarket arms for 4matics. MB ONLY!

happy to guide through procedure if you have Q. Depends on your DIY abilities. To get the LCA out you just need some wrenches and a pitman arm puller for the lower ball joint (which you should replace at same time as LCA’s).
