Is the E500 bigger than the E320?

I know the car's are supposed to be the same but for some reason everytime I see the E500 it looks bigger than the 320. Does the 500 come with a bigger stock kit or some extra sideskirts? Other people have noticed it too, can anyone shed some light on this?

I've always thought that it's the same, unless you're talking about the sport/appearance package which gives you the better front bumper and the extra sideskirts and it's available on both the 320 and 500.

The wheel base, length and width are the same.... Perhaps its the 17" wheels on the e500 vs the 16" wheels on the e320 that is whats throwing you off???

E500
Hi,

The standard wheel width is 8.5 for E500 and E320 is 7.5". That is why you do felt the E500 is bigger. Also the E500 are slicely lower than E320 makes it look bigger. The physical size of car are the same.

I agree . I think the fact that it is lower gives the impression of additional length.

They're exactly the same. Pretty much only the engine is bigger. It just comes with more standard options, but that doesn't increase interior room. My E320 Sport looks just like an E500.
