Unhappy AC Off is on and flashing when pressed

Hi all merc lovers!
Bought mercedes e270 2004, super happy so far, however I have issue with AC system (bad timing as UK seems to having the best summer in the last 1000 years).
I checked fuses, all seems to be alright - however have not checked Relays. The fans are working fine and blows cold(cold only at night, during the summer hot day quite warm) and hot air if I change the temp control.
I bought R-134a gas and tried to add some into the system, however when I plugged in hose to check the pressure it showed me very high pressure and WARNING sign - which according to manufacture of the gas suggest it should be electrical fault and should not gas into the system to prevent it from further damage.
I tried to reset AC system as suggested by someone by pressing defrost and Re circulation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cześć Adam
This is the best AC help site to date. Bear in mind that unless you have 4-zones climatronic, you will need scanner to read the sensors.

Thanks for answer guys, still no luck for me.
I managed to check pressure in high and low systems and it looks like both pressures are the same around 50 psi, which I am sure indicates some issue.

I always try to avoid tapping into pressurized system as that has potential for opening additional problems.
But anyway, what you have measured is 50 psi = 3 bar of pressure.
That most likely is too low to activate the system. And again - without proper troubleshooting this is just educated guess.
You had small refrigerant leak, so my best advise is to put a can of R134 + dye in it.
That should restart the system and potentially let you pinpoint the leak.
DON'T put any other crap in the system!
