i have comand aps model 7023 2007 .
it play MP3 and DVD.
But DVD is not in motion possible.
ho can i check which software my comand aps have?
i would like to make DVD in motion
any idea, advice how to do it ?

Try this combination and see if it does enter the ENG menu.
If so you have no problems to activate all options.
If not.. try to downgrade the firmware.
Engineering Mode
To enter the engineering Mode do the following:
1) Turn the ignition to on (Note : it works with the car started as well)
2) With the radio playing (Note: it works with other things like DVD playing) press :
a. Press and hold these buttons in this order
Mute – Service – End Call all together and hold for 5 secs (ish)
b. Sometimes this doesn’t work, so simply try again, not sure why it doesn’t
always work, maybe its the order I press them in?
Note : If the key combinations above do not bring you to the engineers menu one of the
following may work on your vehicle:
• MUTE + 3 + 4 +5
• Phone Down + 1 + 3 + 6
• 1+6+4+3
• mute + phone down + serv
• mute + 3 +4 +6
• mute+357
For me worked MUTE+3+4+6

im so sorry for asking this please dont hate me for asking im new to this forum and to owning a mercedes ... i have an 04 e class does this apply to me? i called the dealership about any upgrade cd's they said the only thing they have is a navigation upgrade for $199.00.... thanks guys your help is appreciated ...

But where did you find the iso burn and where did you buy the original? Reason for asking is I have a 2007 Euro command where i cannot access the engineering menu. I was told if i downgrade i will be able to do this.

Sorry I forgot probaly to say that I own an SLK so the firmware is for the SLK.
BTW.. If the dealer want can give you the firmware if it does not he is in the right to do since I have a dealer as "friend" and the WorkShop CD's are not for sale.

Do you have someone please update the older cd? could you send me an email to someone rybak@rgparking.cz thanks. Otherwise, in the Engineering mode you can get the 30/06 in the language press + hang diagonally in the top left + audio and holding. But is not hidden but the menu DR.DIST
