Maybe throttle position sensor? I would think that would throw a code, though.

Unhappy

Hey guys. So I changed the plugs, MAF, CPS, and the Oil. It seems to only have gotten worse now. It has gotten to the point where I begin to take off from a stop, and the car hesitates and then goes. It also now
is having the stall issue when I am slowing down and making a turn, etc. It starts back up immediately, but this is concerning for real. I also changed the battery in the trunk as the old one was dead.
I checked for vacuum leaks and did not find anything. Doesn't mean there isn't one, it means I did not find one. Please- is there anything else I can check? There are NO codes being thrown or CEL. This is so
frustrating! HELP!!

Bro, the best advice I can give you is take it in for a diagnostic. For $100-150 you will know for sure

have you tried checking the cats to see of they are clogged?

No. Not sure how to check those. Wouldn't that persist the entire time and not just when slowing down or accelerating from a stopped position? Or the shaking when in drive not neutral park etc?

most of the time you would have a hard time accelerating, but if you can get exhaust gases out, engine will act up. If you have a back pressure gauge you can stick it in the O2 port both pre and post cat and see what your readings are.

Ok, stupid question- would low transmission fluid cause this to happen? Again- with no codes, it is just so frustrating. I may end up taking it to the stealership, but would love to see any new ideas that may come about as a result of the body of knowledge in this group. You all are absolutely awesome. Thank you to all who replied and provided input. Maybe just time to trade her in on a BMW?? HAHHHAAHAHAHAHAHA

Transmission fluid can cause issues with the engine. I am surprised it even moved.

You have almost the same issue with mine. I solved the issue. Mine stalled 2~4 times per week at signal. When I started the engine again, the engine lost 1/3~1/2 of power for 5~20 seconds. It hesitates. Here are what I did;

- Replaced Crank position sensor. I replaced the CPS 5 years ago but anyway replaced it again. No.
- Replaced Cam shaft sensor. No.
- Switched two ignition coils. The car threw a misfire CEL when the engine stalled. It happened 1 time. I switched two ignition coils to check if it's the coil. No.
- Checked all spark plugs. All was ok. No.
- Replaced an oxygen sensor. The car thew an oxygen sensor error code when the engine stalled. It happened 1 time. I replaced the sensor. No.
- Checked for vacuum leaks. The car thew very small vacuum leak CEL 1~2 times per year. I check all vacuum lines. Everything was fine. I also replaced the gas cap. No.
- Replaced head cover gasket. It leaked oils on exhaust pipe. I replaced it. It's not related with the issue. No.
- Checked PCV valve and lines. All looks fine. No.
- Cleaned throttle body. No.
- Replaced batteries. Because they are near the end of useful live, I replaced them. No.
- Checked air filter and housing. Everything looked clean. No.
- Cleaned MAF sensor & EGR valve. Problem solved.

I don't know which one was the culprit because I cleaned the MAF sensor and EGR valve at the same time. I doubt the EGR though. If it's opened unexpectedly, it can cause misfire, oxygen sensor error, vacuum leaks, lose of power, engine stall at signal stop. So if you haven't cleaned the EGR, try it... Good luck!
