An interesting car I was available at a dealer

On Friday, can't say if it is still thre. Helms in Bayside, NY had a platinum blue/blue it E500 AWD Wagon that was loaded. It was an early '04 (8/03 build) so it didn't have active lights (still had xenons). It had the appearence package, nav, and just about everything else other than distronic.

Don't know if it was an MB executive car or not however it looke good. The blue interior, which looked perfect for the platinum blue exterior, is no longer available for MY05.

Not terrible, brown wood looks better. However, the silver instrument area looks VERY good against the blue. Here the bright low chroma display constrasts very nicely with the blue's medium brightness, pretty high chroma color.

It would have cost just too much to swap to that car, and we wanted ED. Or it might have been ours.

Also, the Pacific Blue interior is no longer available for '05. Very disappointing.. Well maybe a little disappointing.
