Unusual issues
Hi i am having strange issues with my W211 E280cdi its a 2005 V6 Diesel, recently the check engine light has been illuminating, the car drives fine no other issues but when i turn it off the engine runs on for a few seconds, even with the key completely out, it shuts off like i say after a few seconds, it doesnt do it every journey and it can be short or long journey it just seems to do it intermittently, i can read and clear the codes a whole host of them appear in the memory but they dont seem to be whats affecting it, the other thing that happens when i open the door or blip the alarm the cooling fan runs up for a few seconds, i am sure its an electrical issue i just need someone here to pipe up if they have experienced the same issues and found the fault!

Hey Plutoe, I have had it scanned,my "chassis" is fine its a problem with the electronics, the faults that the scanner comes up with are not relevant to the fault they are there due to the fault maybe my queens English isn't clear enuf for your lot! would you like a list of the faults maybe you could peruse your ever so expert opinon over?
