Air spring too small (?) PLEASE HELP!
Dear Friends,
I'm installing a rear left air spring on my cls500 w219 (same chassis as w211).
I have the new air spring installed but it seems TOO SHORT.
Comparing the new and old air spring, they are identical except the new spring is not expanded and the old air spring is stretched out to the correct length.
QUESTION: When I plug in the air hose and electrical connection, will the system fill the bag to the correct length?
That is, the pressure sensor will detect 0psi and inflate the bag on its own and then the strut will fit in the wheel well correctly?
PLEASE ADVISE
THANK YOU

HI All,
Just wanted to follow up and tell everyone I figured out the problem.
I called suncoreindustries.com, and they explained that the air strut was indeed deflated and hooking it up would inflate to the proper amount so it would fit!!
If future enthusiasts have the same problem they will not have to go bonkers like I did.
Have a great day.
