So this system is lacking that "punch" of what is in newer cars today, trying to figure out a way to fix it. It actually sounds like sub isn't that bad, and where it is lacking is mids and highs from speakers. It feels like the could go much louder but the amp is weak and can't get them there. I guess first and cheapest option would be upgrading current stock amp (I'm assuming it has one), and maybe interior speakers too if the amp alone doesn't do the trick. I'm just not familiar with the current components of the stock system and what is involved in upgrading them all. I'll probably get to the head unit eventually with one of those chinese Android ones that are either very easy or very hard to put in depending on who you listen to. Anyway what about the amp/speakers situation to start?

Sounds like it's not working properly?

Do a search of W211 section and you will find plenty of information.

You will learn about the involved fiber optics etc.

It is working just fine for a 2005 system, just isn't loud enough.

Is there any way to search just this forum? I thought it could only do all the forums and I don't have time to wade thru all of that.

Click the arrow next to the search button and choose "Advanced Search". There you can choose which sub-forum to search.

If you're on mobile I don't know if doing that will work as I don't internet that way.
