2007 E550 4Matic
Driver side rear Airmatic Suspension

Hi, I just purchased a 2007 E550 4Matic. The driver side rear wont stay level. I've been doing alot of research and my head is spinning. I cant physically hear a leak of any kind. It pumps up after the car is started but usually ends up back down again. Sometimes when I get out it's up, sometimes not. After I park it, it will always drop back down. I will be troubleshooting with soapy water tomorrow. My question is if anyone knows what the likely culprit would be. The level control valve, level sensor or the air spring itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The air spring is leaking. Get replacements from Arnott. Recommend you do both sides as the other side will also leak soon. I am surprised it lasted this long.

Most likely the spring. Definitely replace both rears, you can sell the good one for a few hundred most likely.

Might want to check RockAuto if you are going with Arnott aftermarket replacements. Not sure if there is a different Arnott part number for vehicles with 4Matic, but the rear air spring for non-4Matic is A2724.

Thanks alot for the reply. Yeah I've been researching to see if they are different for 4matic. I found a pretty good price on Parts Geek too. Just need to make sure which one I need for sure. Thanks again!

2006 E500 4matic
I just went through this with my 2006. I bought the Arnott air spring from eBay. $280 with free shipping.
