06 MB E320 Diesel fuel coming out fuel filter water sensor
Mercedes 2006 E320 CDI
I smelled diesel fuel when I got to park the car in garage. Took the engine cover and there was fuel on water sensor. I had a spare fuel filter I bought from autohaus and replaced it. After I did that and started the car it was worse. Diesel fuel was just pouring out of the water sensor. So I assumed that I have a bad water sensor, went to Mercedes and bought a new sensor for $145. I put it in and same problem, fuel coming out fast.
About a year ago I replaced the fuel filter that I bought from Autohaus and bought a spare. Is it possible that the fuel filter is not 100% compatible with the water sensor?
Please help.
Thanks

Is your fuel filter housing cracked? Can you post up a pic of the active leak?
Did you replace the o-rings on the sensor? Did you lube them prior to installation (are you sure the o-rings are intact/properly installed)?
