kickdown function on transmission not working that well on hard pulls
I have the 4 speed transmission , automatic, ...... (2009 e350) is it tuned for comfort primarily?
Even in sport mode, when i accelerate rapidly from 0-60, aggressively, when I get to 3rd gear, it stays in the 4k-5k RPM range even after I let off the accelerator! So much that the car stays in that RPM range for about 3-5 seconds before it upshifts to 4th.
In other cars, as soon as I let off the throttle at high RPM, it would kick down to the next, higher gear.
I do notice that if I use my paddle shifters, all is well with the shifting.
So is there a "kickdown" cable I may have to adjust?
