Teleaid Malfunction and SRS Malfunction Help Needed
I need some help from some w211 gurus here regarding these malfunctions. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The car is a 2004 e320 4matic.
Okay so I was switching out my center console armrest because of the dreaded bubbling of the armrest leather. I had the MB phone connector in the armrest so i had to cut the 2 tele aid wires in the armest storage compartment. As soon as I cut the wires the srs and tele aid malfunctions came up. So i ultimately screwed up even though I asked my indy specialist if it would be a problem to cut those wires. He informed me that the tele aid malfunction would come up. The big issue is the SRS malfunction and it is also throwing the red SRS light in the cluster. I need to get this issue sorted out as I have to do a safety inspection on the car. Does anybody have any idea of a solution to this stupid problem.
p.s the dealer is no help as they are not allowed to disable the tele aid.

Update:
Thanks to another post I was able to trace the problem to a blown fuse for the phone which is in the trunk compartment beside the battery. It is a 5 amp fuse that is furthest on the right when looking at it. The srs restraint system malfunction and the srs light went away after replaced the fuse. The tele aid malfunction is still coming up which is a nuisance but livable. If someone has insight on how to get rid of the malfunction please do help.
