I would search the old threads. I think it's just a fitting that's leaking. Sometimes all you have to do is tighten it up, but I think normally they just replace the fitting. Or it could be one of the lines or springs have a very slow leak. It's not supposed to settle at all even after a few days. The fact that yours does means that there's a leak, just a very small one that's hard to find.

So, back to shop for a W211 and I came across this one:
2007 Mercedes Benz E 350 Sedan - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/roseville-2007-mercedes-benz-350-sedan/6787226958.html
Second owner (female) since 2012, all maintenance done at the local MB dealer.
I will attach the built sheet.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

What's the question? It's a basic car, just has parktronic. Depends what you're looking for, I of course would start with one that had the P2 package which was keyless go and bixenons. Then extra stuff like parktronic, pano roof, folding rear seat or power trunk closer would be bonuses.
The early 2007 also had the balance shaft issues, but this one is past that point so it should be ok for that. Otherwise nothing special, a very common model with the P1 package and one option, parktronic. It's also Pzev which is good and bad, fuel tank warranty is just 15/150k whereas non pzev was 15 years no mileage limit. But with that kind of mileage and the age, you probably won't go past 150k before 15 years.

So this one would be the way to go, has many options.
Does Keyless Go automatically mean pushbutton start?
What are your thoughts on this one:

That has a good mix of options, P2 with parktronic, side blinds and power trunk closer. Just make sure they work. For keyless go, make sure all the door handles work. Sometimes either the lock button or the open button will fail. It also controls the gas cap and trunk too. You should be able to lift up the handle on the trunk and open it with the fob in your pocket. You should be able to hit the button for it to close/lock the trunk/car. The 09 is considered the best of the bunch although it has a slightly newer version of Comand so you'd need to find the original DVD on eBay to load the latest navigation on it. Once it's loaded though, you can just sell the DVD again. Common failures would be the pulleys/tensioner, thermostat, motor mounts.

So you would consider this a good buy? I spoke to the dealer today and they will let it go for 7500 out the door, including all fees docs and taxes.
What do you guys think of the color?

Not a bad exterior color, there's so many variations of grey out there. I hate black interiors myself, but that seems to be pretty popular color for both interior and exterior. It's probably fine, one thing I noticed is that the price reflects more of the mileage than the options. So I like to get as many options as I can as those don't seem to cost much extra. So if you're happy with those options, I'd say go for it, P2 isn't that common so that's half the battle.

So the 2009 was a piece of crap. Came from Hawaii, had two (2) reported accidents on the Carfax report, so I passed.
Will look at another 2007 tonight, white, 85K original miles.
- Keyless Go
- Through Loading feature
- Bi-Xenon
- Navi
- Sports package
Lets see if this one will meet my standards.

That would be the basic P1 with the P2 package and folding rear seats. No power trunk closer? Check for ruffles in the doors, that means real leather, also some early 2007 have the balance shaft issue so check the vin number. I think they may also have crankshaft/camshaft sensor issues, but you just replace the sensors on those, less problems with that in 2008/2009 and at this point they may already have been replaced. Sport package I think was a no cost option at one point so that's why you see a lot of them. On the sports package, suspension was lowered one inch.

I love gadgets so the more the merrier. Most of my options have actually been pretty reliable. The issues with the bixenons might be the ballasts/motors or self leveling, but I haven't had any problems so far, keyless go, the handles or buttons, they were replaced when I bought mine and so far they're still working although I think my driver's side is starting to get a little flaky, sometimes works, sometimes not. Parktronic has been fine, ice and sometimes freezing rain sets it off and you sometimes read about people getting a bad sensor which requires removal of the bumper to fix. The pano roof can also make noise on bumps. Mine was so quiet in general that yes, I notice an extra squeak when going over bumps from the pano roof but haven't done anything about it and just gotten use to it now that I don't even notice it, no issues with the motor breaking although some that use it report problems with the track/motor. It also seems pretty rare for the power trunk closer to fail and it turning out to be the motor, what's more likely is the wiring getting cut in the trunk and if you don't have the power trunk, the brake light or license plate light stops work and you have to fix the wiring anyway. So yeah, most problems you're going to have with the car you're going to have whether you have lots of options or not. My rear shade also stopped working about a year after I got it, gets stuck, need to give it a tug when you hit the button to get it to come out. I just leave it down.
Anyway, it took me 6 months to find mine with all the options it has, sounds like you don't have that kind of time so getting one with the P2 is pretty rare to begin with.

Looked at the white car yesterday, but did not purchase. Not sure if I am too picky?
The car drove nice, only at 87 K miles on it, everything worked on it, also has the panoramic roof.
However, the driver's seat had a slight rip in the mb tex. This is what really turned me off on the car, as I'm not sure how much this will cost to repair.
Have a look at my other thread with pic, which I started last night called "mb-tex repair".
The seller wanted 8250 for the vehicle, Inodlfdered 8K, he would not go lower than 8250.
Wondering if you guys think this is an okay price?
The car was maintained, but did not have a transmission service yet, which would be upcoming or due very soon. Everything else was in order, original manual, 2 sets of keys, nearly brand new tires on it, a matching set, and a recent oil change was done.
Your thoughts and input are greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance.

I don't think 8 grands for 12 yo Mercedes is good price, even assuming you check it for balance shaft numbers?
The listing is not showing the seat damage and the car looks filthy.

I hate to tell you, but here you will NOT find an E350 with under 100K miles anywhere, unless it is salvaged. So after looking at 4 cars so far, some being pieces of crap, I do not think I get a better car with these low miles for under 8K.
However, if you would like to sell me your W212 for 8K, let me know.
Yes, car is filthy, nothing that a bit of elbow grease will not fix.

Not sure how much that piece would be. MB-tex is cheaper than real leather. On the W212, the seat ripping was common. It was a couple hundred dollars for the seat cushion, like around $200-$250 and then most upholstery shops wanted $200-$300 for labor. I think at the dealer it was more like $600-$1000 to do it.
WHAT TO DO? I cannot find one for this price with the low miles.

My 2008 E320 Bluetec will go for sale in couple of weeks
With 188k miles, I think 8 grands will be right price.
I am in Bay Area with it right now.

To stay on topic, the seller of the white E350 is not willing to take the car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Red flag, we are done here.

Well, I did sell the S today and will be E shopping again. The S has just way too many gadgets and is way too big to drive every day back and forth to work. (At least for me).

Extensive maintenance history, always maintained at the local MB dealer. 102K miles and the car already had 2 transmission services done.
Also came with a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sports AS3 + on it, no curb rash on the wheels, extensive service history from Merc Interior is black.
May not have all the bells and whistles, but it is super clean, well maintained and taken care off.
I am Happy.
