MP3 compat. CD changer???

I am still being told by MB UK that the autochanger in new 04 W211s is MP3 compatible (without COMAND). However, after various trips to the dealer(s) with an MP3 CD not yet achieved playback.....

The changer option is also listed on the German pricelist.pdf as MP3 compatible....

Has anyone actually seen/heard this "04 spec." working ?

Keen to understand what the situation is before I order my car in the next week! I can do without spending £2k on a command system. Thanks in advance. Justin W

The MP3 compatible CD Changer should be available after May 24. Probably not many of these around yet.
