I have 2005 E500 wagon with 115,000 miles that needs a new suspension, major tune up and valve cover replacement. All in, this is going to run around $6,000. My question is whether there are other trouble spots I should be aware of before committing to a major amount of work. I have had various electrical gremlins like the passenger seat not responding to controls for a few days and then fixing itself. At different times the passenger window has done the same. I recently replaced the batteries and the trouble hasn't popped up again. Does this model have transmission issues? Transfer case? Any other things I am not thinking of? Thanks.
