Two different part numbers, and if you look at the US COMAND, there is no button for Video (I think it says SAT)

Yes there is. I have the ccf file and programmed the remote features into my Palm Pilot.

Search the forum and you will find the info to do the same or to find the part # in order to purchase the remote.

I took the folloing part numbers that I found on this forum to my dealer:

220 820 28 89

220 820 99 89

220 820 82 89

220 827 00 42

The only one that came back valid 220 820 28 89 was listed as a control module for $246 + tax. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, the 220 820 28 89 is listed as a control module and is a valid part number, and it costs $246 + tax at your dealership.

Hi Thanks for the reply, maybe I wasn't clear or misunderstood your response. I am looking for the Comand wireless remote as described and pictured in this thread. The part numbers I listed were all located on this forum as being the correct part numbers for the Comand wireless remote. So is this 220 820 28 89 control module indeed the Comand wireless remote?
Thanks! Jeremy

Sorry, I did misunderstand... the COMAND remote pictured in this thread is A220 820 99 89 and the description in the ENGLISH parts database is "PARASITIC STOPPER" (someone screwed up).

It works on both Euro and US COMANDs in the W211 and the 6/2003+ manufactured W215/W220. I believe it will work on 6/2004+ manufactured W203/W209 as well.

The video button should function as a SAT button on US cars, but I would need to check that. Hang on and I will check it.

Yes, the video button does switch it to satellite radio on a US COMAND.

Incidentally, it is manufactured by Peiker Acustic, makers of the Nokia handset cradles (and I think the UHI cradles too).

US Remote

Scorchie,

Does this other part # have the SAT button for US consumption? Also, do you know if this is orderable via the US MB Parts system or via MBenznl?

Does anyone have a Pronto ccf or pcf file for the remote in the picture that Oslo posted? Thank you in advance.
