Hi, I have a problem with the OBD port on my facelift 2006 320cdi. When plugging in a scanner into the OBD port the unit powers but but does not communicate. Further investigation has found I have no power on pin 8 which should come live when the ignition is on. Please can you advise where the power comes from?

Check your fuses.

all fuses that I know about have been checked. Can you be more specific?

ie where does Pin 8 connect to? If it goes via a fuse, which one? What else is supplied from the same circuit. Remember the diagnostic fuse supplies pin 16 which is ok!!
