The car computer would tell you when module is bad. Or at least I would hope so.
Common on this car is that they don't go to sleep. Lately I park my W211 close to the camper where I slept and getting early in the morning, when it was dark, I noticed the Bluetooth light stays on.
Unless you move your phone far away from the car (more than 50') or turn it off, the system will stay on.
That alone will not drain your battery overnight, but observe if your car turns off all the lights and displays within 10 seconds after door close.

Check with a tester that can read the BCM. BCMs are discontinued from Mercedes, eBay has them but not all of them work.
