Bluetook puck broken, Aux plug PITA

What aftermarket solutions are you guys running?

the harness from the receiver the puck plugs into has wires that have pulled loose and instead of replacing the harness from the trunk into th me center console and STILL not have the ability to listen to music through Bluetooth I was curious to what you guys were running for aftermarket Bluetooth solutions for both phone calls and music?

things to consider:
i do not want to spend $1k on the latest and greatest, just a simple proven setup that will integrate factory steering controls.

OEM look preferred

DIY preferred

Thanks in advance guys,
Josh

Not sure what you're doing. The puck only works with the phone. For audio, you either have the aux cable or the ipod cable. The ipod cable is better. I just use a 4th gen ipod touch with Spotify and use wifi to update my playlist as it changes on the computer. You'll need a power adapter to provide power to the ipod. Then your steering controls will still work with the ipod. The ipods are less than $30 on eBay. I mentioned it another thread.

To swap the Ipod and AUX cables you have to pull the stereo. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to do. There are videos on Youtube showing how to do it. I found the one where people got offended in the comments by the guy swearing and saying the N-word too much was quite helpful when doing this. FWIW, he wasn't a black guy but said it like he was.

I run Spotify on my phone through the AUX cable on my E63. I'm not up to date on technology for this type of stuff so doing that works fine for me.

Just got a couple of these from Amazone. Hoping it will plug into the AUX audio input jack in the glove box roof. I'll let you know if it works.
