Exclamation Hard shift from P to D/R

Got the 722.6 - 5 speed auto but I have some hard shift from Park to Reverse or from Park to drive , there is no problem in shifting while driving, I only got that very hard bumpy shift my car does from P to D or R . Some there can tell me what that problem can or are caused by?

Thanks alot

Have someone pull fault code(s) using MB diagnostics.

First you should always check the fluid level, maybe itīs a bit too low. Therefor you need a special dipstick (+ fill cap and lock pin to reclose the fill tube) available at eBay, Amazon etc.

Replace the transmission mount. It is super easy to do and will help with the shifts from P to D or R.

... if itīs worn out. You can visually check the rubber insert and try to move the driveshaft where itīs connected to the transmission.

Also check the rubber flex discs on both ends of the driveshaft.
