What pcm/ecu for w211 e320 gas?

Hey guys looks like the pcm is the cause for random/intermittent no start. Was trying to price out a salvaged unit. What years will work for my 05 base?

If you dont want to be back whining, replace the part with the same or older part number for your VIN!

thanks man. Now I’m getting the run around with shops not wanting to do it with a used ecu. I was able to get a hold of a Mobil flashing service that uses xentry and he flat out told me that programming a used ecu for my car is “not possible” he’ll only come to a shop. He’ll only program new ecus for 350.00

Thats because the used ECU does not have your VIN in the eeprom, it has the owners VIN and you can flash your *** off and the car will never start---the used ECU must be as they say virginized then flashed with your specific cff file and that aint going to happen with some tree hugger mechanic that does not have the software and depending on MY the SCN capability.

You must think this is a 69 Pinto--------read on bro!!-------go to any dealer

ok no need to be a dick. I’m just trying to get my car going that’s been not starting regularly for over a month. It’s beyond frustrating. It’s been in two different European Indy shops. It’s there right now. Maybe instead of insulting me, maybe point me in the right direction of what it takes to get a used ecu wiped and programmed so I can get my car running properly without spending 1700-2000 on an new ecu for a car that’s only worth 3 grand.

Post a copy of your mechanics short test which leads you, oh great wizard, to believe that you have a faulty ECU.

i don’t have them dick and why would I ask him? I’m not a Mercedes etc and I’m sure not going to demand them just for super special Internet guy on the merc message board. I was at work. I know they ohmed out all injectors, maf, crank, and cam sensors, tested 12v to the injectors and cranks sensor. They might share the same source if I heard him correctly. Good voltage and pulses to all injectors. Good voltage to all sensors. It starts fine most of the time they say. It did no start with the scope on and there was no pulses or spark while cranking. Then it would start the next try. Brand new crank, cam, and MAF straight from the dealer. New plugs and wires two weeks ago. Please enlighten me oh what you think it could be brain child.
