Engine sounds and vibration in diesel W211
Just got back from the supermarket. Noticed while out that the car diesel engine clatter was louder than normal and that the diesel sent vibration thro the cabin for a few minutes at idle. turned the car off and restarted. At idle it started Ok and then the familiar vibration of the front cabin...as if my limbs were experiencing tremor....quite irritating....this can't be normal?
Anway drove off and the tremor went away after 10 mph but could still hear crackles at 20mph. At speed sound disappears.
Opened bonnet at home and tried to reproduce sound/tremor but now it seemed OK.
Had car for 8 months and it is an about 21 months old.
Could it be engine compressor, turbo,....I did run it over 5000rpm the other day.
Also the fuel filler cap doesn't close properly. could water have got(when it rained) in with diesel and cause this.

Its a CDI.
I Guess if it is redlined that means engine cuts off and it should be OK. I hope its not an engine problem.
