That driving this car is damn near like being a celebrity? I can't even leave my house anymore without women young and grown looking at me smiling waving to get my attention. I feel like im famous, I swear I had no idea just buying a car can get women to act all out of character like this.

Seroiusly, it is a fantastic car and the looks ain't bad either. I can't say for sure that I'm getting extra attention however this car does make you feel good driving it. Happy Motoring!

You see more Lexus, BMW, Jarguar, Benz than any other brand at any parking lot near where I live & work. (where the hell people get money to buy all of these car ?? ). The only American "cars" are more like Escalate or Navigator.

No type of Benz raise eye brown nowaday (even CL65 or SL55). Have to wait and see what the SLR can do.

The only type of car that can turn people head or raise their eye brown nowaday is more like Porches GT, Ferrari Enzo, and Aston Martin.

Where do you live ????

When I sneak glances at other drivers to see if they're sneaking glances at my E500, they aren't. Maybe it's because it's in undramatic Desert Silver and has no cosmetic mods, maybe it's because the car culture isn't as hyper in Sacramenna as in, say, SoCal. I dunno, but that's fine with me. A car that catches the attention of the local rubes will also catch the (unwanted) attention of the law.

When my car had the stock 16"s - IMO it had a fairly low curb appeal rating. With the 18" chrome AMGs - different story altogether. (and I'm not tall, dark and handsome )

Yeah the only time that happens to me is when I pull up the AMG modeled cars. I pulled up to a silver SL55 with black rims jus like me and we were cruisin for a bit while I was drivin back to werk from buyin some supplies. But rarely does it happen to me in any other model besides AMG...

This is the same thing for me. I had a really hot looking 5 series before this but it never turned heads like the E (black with appearance) probably because Pittsburgh is flooded with BMW's. I am constantly in conversations about it and the girls really do look at least twice (too bad I am married). The only car that I have driven that turns as many heads as this one is my fathers C4 Carerra drop top but that is $115K and this was only $60.

I think (in the US at least) that Mercedes represents power and a black Benz has a even more powerful image. It is a car that is hyped up in the songs and you see all of the famous people with them which adds to the image. As for the girls, in my humble opinion, I think most girls want someone who does well and a Benz is a symbol of doing well. Us guys also typically want a girl that does well but will contently settle for a girl that looks well

I know I look twice at a girl in a nice car...

I live in/on Long Island NY. I can tell you that E's are plentiful, but people still look one over, especially a nice interior/exterior color combo. (Here most MB's are Brilliant Silver/Black so ANYTHING else is an rarity!)

It depends where you go, and who you hang with, but I can tell you it DOES get admiring glances at traffic lights AND restaurant valet parking. Being tall & handsome is an asset if you've got it, but how many short mousey guys have you seen & hi class cars with the girl of other guy's dreams?

Other cars can be nice, or performers, or "Bling" but this W211 has got it all.
