Parallel Parking Mirror

I set my passenger rear view mirror to tilt downwards when I'm in reverse to aid in parallel parking but sometimes it seems to reset itself and I'll have to set it all over again anyone else have this problem?

Sometimes, after reversing (and the mirror tilting downwards), it fails to reset itself to the 'drive' position. Is this the same as you are experiencing? If so, there may be a note in the manual about resyncing the mirror as suggested to me awhile back. I have yet to check it out.

Most common error when setting this feature seems to be that the passenger mirror control button is not kept “pushed in” or is mistakenly moved from the in position. Make sure this forward most button in the mirror controls is left in.

Or . . . you're using the other set of "Keys". I know when I use my wife's set that the seat moves forward to the point where my knees are under my chin, the wheel is against my chest and the mirrors are . . . well, who knows where. Check your "key" and make sure you're using the same one from start to start.

Make sure that the push-button for the passenger side mirror has been pressed. The 'park-assist' feature of the mirror will only work while the passenger side mirror button is depressed (and I don't mean "sad", I mean "pressed in").

To save the position of the mirror, make the necessary adjustments while the gear selector is in the "R" position, then save the setting by pressing the "M" key followed by the "down arrow" on the mirror adjustment panel.

Hmm, isn't that what I suggested? Levity was a nice touch though.

mine does the same thing. It will work for a few days and then reset back to the original. It seems to lose its memory. I have the same problem with the drive dynamic seats. I can live with it i guess

It has to be enabled in Display first. Mine was already setup by the dealer when it was delivered. It's been working flawlessly.

Mine always works too, although in the beginning I thought it didn't. Look for the curb side mirror not being left pressed in, or inadvertantly selecting "driver 2" or 3, or a different ignition key. Memorize the "look down" position once more, then adjust your seat & wheel & then press "set 1" set 2 & set 3 so all 3 drivers have the same mirror/seat/wheel settings.
