e class w211 cdi warm start problem
hi thankyou for letting me join the forum. im a old school mechanic and im really struggling with a problem on my 2005 e class w211. 2.1 cdi. the problem is a warm start issue. it starts fine when cold but when it gets warm it just wont restart for 20 mins. i leave it for twenty mins and hey presto it starts. i would be really grateful if someone could help me please. or point me in the right direction towards a solution. no warning lights or errors . thanks in advance

I am not a diesel guy, but your symptoms sound like crankshaft position sensor issues. This is a common failure on gas models.
I found this link about replacement on a CDI, FWIW.

I have the same problem. Were you able to fix hot or warm engine no restart? I changed the CPS twice but did not solved the crank no start when engine is warm issue.
