E350 4MATIC
Question Best place to find parts?

Hello! I recently bought an '08 E350 4MATIC as a project car for $2,000. It has 118,000 miles and a $16,000 dealership repair estimate (Which I knew before purchasing) I've slowing been doing the repairs with the help of internet and was wondering whats the best place to buy parts, So far I've only gone through FCP Euro and they have most of the parts I need but they don't seem to have front bearings among other things for my model. The ones I've seen on their site all say "For non-4matic models" I was hoping someone could link me to some other reliable sites for parts? Thank you!

ECS Tuning and AutohausAZ are two good sources for parts for your W211. Pricing can be competitive along with quick shipping. While I prefer FCPEuro for their generous lifetime warranty, the others sometimes carry parts that FCP does not have.

Does that connect you to the online EPC?

https://www.mbdirectparts.com/ is official MB dealer and not only selling MB parts for best prices, but they come with all the warranties and good support.
They use EPC that starts with your VIN. On couple of occasions the search did not work, but if you know part number, you can always email, or call them to confirm fitment.
Rare lately business that still answers phones from US location.
Amazon has good shipping times and with prime lot of it is free, but they have no knowledge what the parts are for, so fitment is on you. Their EPC has lot of errors.
For general parts like filters and oils, I am using autohausaz for 20 years as they ship in 2 days and with some limit, free shipping, but lately had couple incidents where they did not have parts on stock and whole timeframe went wacko.

Amazon warehouse has fast shipping, free returns and by far the lowest prices. I'm going on 3 weeks now waiting on parts from the dealer that were supposed to be 2 days away.

I use Rockauto most of the time. You just have to be careful because sometimes they have the wrong parts listed. Never had a problem with my E320, but have had several problems with my R320.

Just verify the part numbers before ordering.

BTW, I’m parting out my 2005 E320, so there may be some components that fit.

I buy 90% of my parts from RM European. Register and you accumulate points for instant discounts on future purchases. Great prices, lots of genuine parts and free shipping over certain amounts. Sometimes I buy from Amazon but they rarely beat their prices (or I want them shipped much sooner).

If you’re putting a Valeo radiator in your Benz, I can see why it’s so cheap.

OK no argument there normally, but just last month I had a very positive experience when buying 08 Bluetech OEM crankcase bleeder valve and inter-cooler hose directly (online) from a dealer and picking them up at the dealers parts counter in person.

I checked all the vendors mentioned above but a MB dealer had the best prices which was a big surprise, and the parts were ready on the shelve, no waiting at all.

The catch: I had to buy and pay online, otherwise the prices would have been much higher!

If/when you want genuine Mercedes parts, Husker Auto in Lincoln, NE usually has best price. Don

Some dealer's parts departments are starving for business and open "internet sales"
First was Duvall, what was great at the time, but after few years they close Internet sales. That was the time when MB USA no longer allowed key shipping, so that might be the reason.
Now you have several dealers doing that as links above show. If your local dealer does that and you can pick it up on short drive, that is great, but I see no problem to pay couple of bucks for home delivery.
The problem is that those sales come and go, so each time I have list of parts, I have to start new research.
But regardless Internet sales, dealer also supply to local indies and any bigger Parts Dept will have commercial sale person.
I've been doing that with MB of Oakland, CA. I presented myself as business owner (my business had nothing to do with cars) and even they did not accept me for business account, they always offer me better prices. Especially on stuff like coolant, where heavy item would cost extra in shipping, picking it up locally can save you money.
