Identify this sensor please...

Held by a single metal flange with T30 bolt torx. Oil is seeping out. I felt the wetness when I change my CPS. it is located at the back of the engine driver side.

Just curious, what engine this is? Might be able to track down the part we knew the year and model, and preferably the engine. M272, M112/113 etc?

If you remove the connector, the part number of the sensor is usually molded onto the sensor where you can read it. Photo snip is from Pelican Parts. They most likely have what you need.

Thank you, I thought I should order it before removing, since oil or fluid comes out when it is removed.

You could have the wifey or friend, wearing a nitrile glove, put their finger over the hole, once the engine cooled, while you ascertained the part number of the sensor since you wont devulge your year and model.

Looks like coolant temp sensor 0009056102, sealing ring (40 in diagram) is available separately 0229979848. Attachment inclusive of all part #s is for future reference.

Thank you very much...i thought its oil, anyway, as usual, hating this cramp space, lots more bruises but worthwhile once done.
After all this, its just a temperature coolant sensor. My days waiting for an answer are over.

I think it may be just that o-ring that is leaking. The sensor itself is still working, just a very small leak. All the rubber age quickly in the hot engine bay. It tends to get hard over time and shrink, thus losing its ability to seal.

I test drove it today, and smoke started coming out from that area. I'll just change it with a new one. Does not smell oil, probably coolant. It's difficult to tighten that T30torx bolt.

Unfortunately, too hard to fully insert or install the coolant sensor. The T30torx bolt has been fully tightened and still see part of the sensor.

its zip tied to the CPS harness or connector

Could you take a picture of what plugs your cam and crank sensors are hooked up to on both sides? I accidentally got mine confused and switched around.
