My first Benz E350 06 Lovin it
Paid $300 for 06 W211. It had lot of wiring issues. Fixed all but trying to figure out why I cant open trunk lid from inside or fob. reviiewed other forums . no shorts in trunk lid or blown fuses. remote unlocks doors but have to use key to open trunk lid. noticed inside drivers door release switch does not illuminate. Any help would be a great help. Thanks

Consider checking the wiring harness as it runs through the door, as it might have a crimped or broken connection-I have had to deal with that on other controls. Otherwise, probably time to check the connection to the switch for power.
