Sirius Sat radio issues when hot

I have a 2007 E550 with Sirius radio. I started having reception issues a few months ago. After looking into everything outlines in this forum concerning possible issues, I have come across some data that holds consistent. I know this will sound crazy, but in the morning (temps less than 80F or so), the radio works fine with very little interruption. As soon as we top 85F and up for a short period, the radio stops and shows an "Acquiring Signal" message and will not come back on until it cools down in the evening and the radio works again.

Is there anything that could cause an antenna or reception error when it is hot? Or am I just crazy??

Is there a satellite radio antenna module?

Try this:

Follow the antenna lead and see where it leads. Should be a satellite radio module in the trunk. I don't have a photo but I've seen the info in the parts catalogs.

Try an advance search on "Sirius radio" and quite a few post pull up.

Trial fit another antenna directly to SDARS module search 1718201575 & 1718201675. Allow at least 10 minutes outside to recognize satellites. Signal remains ok, move on to determine the root cause of intermittent signal - antenna, coax cable, splitter, etc. worst case scenario being antenna connection under headliner. Or circumvent trouble shooting (your call) and keep work around antenna. If it results in faulty module search current part # 2118706790.
