Sounds from car when you open the door??
When I open my driver's door for the first time in the morning, I hear a series of clicks and whirring sounds coming from the front of the car. Is this some kind of set-up routine prior to starting? I also notice similar sounds when I turn it off. I can only really hear it when the car is in the garage. I'm sure its normal (my car is 2 weeks old), but I can't figure out what it could be. I have an E500 if that makes a difference.

Besides the SBC doing its thing as noted already, and sometimes the airmatic suspension, Opening the door will also activate the CD based nav drive that is located in the drivers side trunk... I hear this more than anything else... definatly a whirrrring noise that soon stops....

A bit reminiscent from when the beast was originally assembled on the line by that burly tech who I understand is being asked to give up his next year’s raise because DCAG is on a cost cutting binge across the board. Hey, would this have anything to do removing the rear armrest with the pull strap, the ashtray mat, the glove box tray, the rest function and so many other items? Wait a minute that was another thread.
