xenon burners turn yellow
i have a 2007 E-Class and recently changed the xenon burners. when i switch on the lamps i see the xenon light come on as white however it changes color in 5 seconds to yellow.. the xenon burners are Philip they have the same serial number as the old ones. plz help as i dont know of a salutation, some say the lights need to run for 100 hours before the real color comes in effect...

You may try to :
1. switch the other xenon bulb (the good) with the existing one (the yellow). If the result is the same, the hella ballast under the headlight may be nearly gone.
2. On the other hand, test the yellow bulb on the good light output side if the bulb turns into yellow again, I guess the bulb is not good.
No need to run 100 hrs for good light output. It should give good light output since the first use (take 5 sec. to burn) and stay on.
Unless the new bulb is 4300k (quite yellow light) while the old one may be 5500-6000k (white light)
