Video: Non stop beeping sound. Car has no power!

w211 04 E500

I walk up to my car this afternoon and this non stop beeping noise is happening. The car has no power and I can't turn it off! I disconnected both batteries and the sound persists.

What could cause this? Is this the anti theft alarm. Is it a faulty LOW TONE ALARM SIREN HORN?

Try disconnecting both batteries... the aux battery and the one in the trunk for at least five minutes and try and start ...

W205, X253, C190, W213,
That's the driver side SAM module and it sounds like a relay clicking on and off continuously. Take the cover off and see where the sound is coming from.

that or the alarm module. It's tucked under the driver's side fender, and it has it's own battery so if it tweaked out while it was dying, it will stay like that until the battery exhausts itself or you pull it out and throw it in the river.

Dead battery!

Turns out my gf left the lights on and the battery died. As it was dieing it set off the anti theft alarm. I measured the battery at 5 volts. Jumped it and noticed the lights were set on instead of auto. Also on a weird note, I still have a red battery alarm except my consumer items like AC, heater, seats control/cooling heat/ and lighters are all working again.

Battery discharged down to 5V seldom comes back to full life.
You can try to use one with desulfation mode.
Good luck.

I used a Battery Tender model to bring my Aux battery back to like, took 5 or 6 days, it was at 5.5v before I hooked it up. Battery lasted another 2 years.
