basically you just have to pull it open. you might have to use some force. putting it back is harder imo. GL

Removal

The cupholder assembly comes out as a unit. (Upper & lower & supporting framework/mechanism w/ both cup holders)

1. Open door
2. open cup holders to upright position.
3. look into the pot, on the rearward side, there is an oval indented moulded part to receive your fingertips.
4. put 2 fingers into the dent firmly & pull straight up.

It is a "snap fit" item but a quick jerk will do it.

The manual says to remove the cup holder to clean them every so often but makes no mention on how to do it. I finally said to hell with it & did it.

mine borke too. but its just the part that swings out. I actually want to get another but just havent been motivated to do so. I plan on just calling around to junk yards and seeing if they have any w210's in. I am sure it wouldnt be gone if they have one.

Don't pull it out by any of the mechanical parts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick your fingers down the hole (drivers cup hole) & pull it straight up by the back of the box.
Its a tight snap fit, but once it comes out you will see where the "tabs" interlock with the inner walls of the compartment.
