Adding Bluetooth to 2007 E350 w/ COMAND

Anyone provide some advice on the best adapter to use for the AUX input to get Bluetooth on the factory stereo? Not into spending $360 for the MB version.

Is it wired for bluetooth? You can get the puck on eBay for around $100 but that just does voice and not music. For music, there's the ipod cable and you can get a 4th gen ipod touch for $20-$50.

Having the puck would be much nicer I would think. You can use the steering wheel controls to answer the phone and even use the keypad for touch tone responses when making calls. Otherwise I think the aux input would just play music, you wouldn't be able to use the microphone in the car for voice.

If you guys want something cooler than a pick, check out a project I'm working on:

https://github.com/UKSFM99/W203-canbus

This is an open source project using an Arduino to give a new life to older mercs. You can control music via Bluetooth using th steering wheel (still need an AUX cable for now though), and even display the track playing on the cars display.

Also I have a menu (long hold phone answer button to activate) that shows various engine metrics on the instrument cluster

If your interested, let me know
